This pulse Oximeter/CO Detector mounts in most panels and transmits data to many of today’s MFDs. The unit transmits a pilot’s blood oxygen levels, heart rate, CO level, cabin temperature and altitude to display units. The pilot inserts a finger in the unit to determine his or her physical and environmental condition, and the device reminds the pilot to check levels after passing 10K and every 30 minutes above 10K.

Music and flying seem to go together especially well as evidenced by the large number of pilots who are also musicians. This year the FMA (Flying Musician’s Association) will feature several music jams and events. Don’t miss aviation activist, Ravi (also known as “The Raviator”) who will present his musical take on bringing renewed passion to aviation. Ravi is an accomplished aviation speaker who shot to fame as guitarist for the 90’s group, Hanson. He’ll be presenting “Why Everyone Should Learn to Fly” at the EAA Learn to Fly Discovery Center, and will perform musically at the Sennheiser tent as part of the FMA. Also don’t miss Chicago in concert on opening night, July 26th at Aeroshell Square.
