First Solo Plaque

For many of us, our first solo represents our biggest flying achievement and is a flight we'll never forget. Sporty's First Solo Commemorative Wooden Plaque will keep that once-in-a-lifetime memory vivid. The alder-wood, laser-etched plaque measures 8x10 inches and is custom engraved with the pilot's name and airplane on two lines. The words on the plaque read: "Rare is a sense of accomplishment felt greater than after your first solo flight. The thrill and excitement is indescribable to those who have not taken the controls into their own hands." Contact:

Pilot Chews

Private pilot Eli Weingarden set out to bring a product to market that would help pilots deal with pilot fatigue. His Pilot Chews are a candy-like dietary supplement that not only help pilots stay awake and focused, but also help with memory, reflex, night vision and oxygen absorption. It only takes 20 minutes for one to feel the Pilot Chews kicking in. Contact:

Aviation Belt

This Netherlands-based company produces key chains, bracelets and belts that feature commercial aviation buckles. The belt's band is 1.5 inches in width, so it's wearable with many different pants. Each product is available in a variety of colors. Contact:

No More "Low Battery"

Pilots have plenty of batteries to keep charged these days, and many of these gadgets require special high-amp charging devices. Sporty's offers a complete selection of pilot-tested gear to meet these needs. The Dual 2.1 Amp Cigarette Lighter Adapter plugs into any cockpit power plug (12 or 24V) and provides two high-amp USB ports. If you don't have a cigarette-lighter plug, Sporty's offers the Backup Battery pack, with a 16,000mAh internal battery that can increase the endurance of an iPad by 150%. With five USB ports, it also allows for multiple devices to be charged simultaneously. There's even a built-in flashlight for backup illumination. The pack can be recharged by plugging it into any wall outlet. Contact:
