Dual Electronics announced that their XGPS170 GPS + ADS-B Receiver is now compatible with the WSI Pilotbrief Optima for iPad. The in-flight weather received through the XGPS170 seamlessly integrates with the WSI Pilotbrief app giving pilots real-time weather coverage from pre-flight to final approach.
"There's no argument that weather is critical in the cockpit, and we are very pleased to be working with WSI to deliver the highest quality in-flight weather information," said Greg Lukins, Vice President, Business Development, Dual. "WSI's proven track record of providing critical weather services to the FAA and 85% of the airlines in North America should give any pilot confidence that they are working with the best information available" added Lukins.
The WSI Pilotbrief platform offers professional-grade weather services at a private pilot price. It delivers high-definition actionable weather, integrated flight planning and charts -- all in an intuitive app. The continuous reception of ADS-B weather data during flight enables the pilot to make informed decisions during unpredictable weather.
