  1. My brother owned a Luscombe Silvaire in the ’40s but it was not all aluminum; the wing was fabric. What model would that have been?

  2. I thought all Luscombe’s were all aluminum. I would say your brother owned a Cessna.

My Dad bought a Luscombe Silvaire off the show room floor at the Texas State Fair in 1946 in Dallas. He sold it in Ohio in 1954, regrettably.

  3. First airplane I owned was 1938 Luscombe model 8 (8A) N2193 serial no. 810. this was in 1962. A wonderful plane and I just always will remember her > She was all aluminum with rag wing covering .
