Plane & Pilot Supports AOPA
It’s been a very good year for AOPA, so when it came time for Editor-in-Chief Isabel Goyer to renew his AOPA membership, he asked if a very special AOPA employee would do the honors.
That "employee," as you probably guessed, was none other than AOPA leader, Mark Baker, who this year oversaw the organization's work at the nail-biting but ultimately successful passage of FAA Medical Reform as part of the FAA's Reauthorization Bill. The organization also played an important role in the successful adoption of the new Airman Certification Standards (ACS), which will bring both written and flight test procedures into the 21st century.
In the photo, Baker hands over Goyer's AOPA membership card at the organization's exhibit space at AirVenture, with AOPA's membership services' Charles Lehman (who did the hard work) at Goyer's right.
