Since receiving FAA certification of the Garmin G950 panel conversion for turboprop Twin Commanders early in 2014, Twin Commander Aircraft factory-authorized service center Eagle Creek Aviation Services has delivered four Garmin G950 Commanders to customers. Two more are in the works at Eagle Creek's Indianapolis facility.

The most recent delivery involved the Commander 1000 that served as the prototype and certification aircraft. Eagle Creek currently is converting a model 900 and a model 690B Twin Commander to the Garmin G950 panel.

Last November Eagle Creek completed and delivered a Garmin G950-equipped Grand Renaissance Twin Commander to the National Army of Colombia ---- the fourth Grand Renaissance Commander that Eagle Creek has built for the South American country's largest military service.

"We are finding that many of our new customers come to us with Garmin 1000 experience," commented Eagle Creek CEO Matt Hagans, "and the Garmin G950 Twin Commander is the next aircraft they've been looking for -- the capability of the Garmin panel they are familiar with in a proven, high-performance twin-turboprop airframe."

"The Garmin G950 Twin Commander is the latest in a series of significant upgrades -- led by the Honeywell Dash 10T engine and the Grand Renaissance airframe -- that have kept Twin Commander at the head of its class in terms of performance, capability and reliability," noted Twin Commander Aircraft President Matt Isley.

The Garmin G950 Commander features the complete Garmin 1000 electronic avionics suite paired with an S-TEC 2100 Digital Flight Control System. The new panel integrates all primary flight, navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather, and engine instrumentation systems on a large 12.4-inch multifunction display and two 10.4-inch primary flight displays.

The Grand Renaissance Commander is a thoroughly inspected and restored airplane that looks, feels, and flies like new. The inspection and parts refurbishment or replacement covers the structure, fuel system, hydraulics, powerplant, landing gear, instruments, flight controls, cabin environmental, ice protection, and appearance ---- the interior and paint. The Grand Renaissance Twin Commander comes with a one-year/200-hour warranty with an option to extend the warranty to two years.
