This single-seat water glider is built from plastic and foam materials and designed to be controlled easily by the nonpilot. The Drag-N-Fly is towed behind a ski boat and can be disconnected by the pilot. The fuselage is hinged to facilitate storage or travel. The cockpit is located forward of the biplane wings, and two floats are located underneath the lower wing. The airfoils are shaped from styrofoam blocks, reinforced by plywood spars, and covered with fiberglass. The fuselage and floats are made from plywood and are also covered with fiberglass.
