Plane & Pilot Photo Of The Week For October 2, 2020. Framed By The Moon!

In one of our favorite Photos Of The Week ever, the backlighting was beyond perfect. This you have got to see!

Photo of the Week: Framed by the Moon

Photo of the Week: Framed by the Moon, by Andrew Studer

This week's Plane & Pilot Photo Of The Week is one of our all-time faves. Photographed by the brilliant photographer Andrew Studer, the shot captures Brody Fry's Cubcrafters Carbon Cub in front of a full orange moon with the angular Cascades below. The shot, Studer said, was all about the timing, the angles and the smoke from the wildfires---just imagine the geometrical challenges here! But it resulted in a shot that looks like it was completely unplanned. Amazing work by Studer and pilots Brody Fry and Christian Walker. And thanks to all for sharing with us! Oh, and if you like it as much as we do, you can get a professional-quality print by visiting Studer's website, where you can also check out more of his amazing work. And it is, like this shot, work that you have just got to see.
