GA pilots needed for an online FAA study on speech recognition systems and PIREPs (led by Florida Institute of Technology and Purdue University)

Researchers at Florida Institute of Technology and Purdue University are seeking General Aviation (GA) pilots to participate in an online study, partially funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NextGen Weather Technology in the Cockpit (WTIC) program.

This study aims to understand the speech recognition (SR) systems used by GA pilots and their perception of how SR systems might assist them in submitting PIREPs.

If you are able and willing to participate, you will be asked to answer 23 survey questions. The survey will take less than 10 minutes and can be completed using any device by clicking on the link,

Feel free to share the link with other GA pilots!
