The two-deck, 555-seat A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world. Like other Airbus projects, the A380 comes from a composite of contributors, not only in France, but Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and even the United States. In its 550-seat version, the A380 can carry 35% more passengers than the largest Boeing 747-400, and the A380-900 is on the drawing boards to carry 656 passengers.
