DAHER-SOCATA announced today the appointment of Jet Mach as TBM aircraft distributor for Mexico. Monterey-based Jet Mach has 21 years of experience executing aircraft transactions worldwide with extensive technical and market knowledge. The company offers a full range of services, including charter, maintenance, hangar storage, fleet management, interiors completion and painting. "We have sold more than 60 aircraft with value exceeding $800 million dollars, which positions our company as a major player in the business aviation market in Latin America," explained Rene Garza, President and Founder of Mach Jet. "We found that the TBM 850 very fast turboprop, especially with its outstanding performance from high altitude airports in Northern Mexico, was just the plane we need to complete our offer." "With a fleet of 1161 turbine aircraft today, Mexico is the fifth largest market for business aircraft after the U.S., the European Union, Brazil and Canada," explained Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of DAHER-SOCATA's Airplane business unit. "Jet Mach was very interested in our TBM aircraft and had an impressive sales record in representing leading aircraft manufacturers of large jets or helicopters, making it an obvious choice for us." "We share common values such as team work, integrity, skills and experience -- all of which are key to lasting success in the Latin America business aviation market," he added.
DAHER-SOCATA's TBM 850 is the world's fastest single turboprop aircraft, with a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at Flight Level 260 (in ISA conditions). It combines cruising speed and trip times of a light jet with the economic direct operating costs, range and moderate environmental signature of a turboprop engine. The maximum range and useful load -- which are enhanced on the current version -- as well as the ability to land at small airports are some of its customers' favorite features. TBM 850 Elite offer to owners the unique capability of tailoring the cabin to host 4 or 6 persons on board.
Since its launch in 2005, the TBM 850 became and international success with 326 units delivered as of September 30, 2013. At this date, the overall TBM 700/TBM 850 fleet of 650 aircraft had exceeded more than 1.1 million flight hours. Visit www.daher.com.
