Update From King Schools

A lot is happening at King Schools this spring

John and Martha King arrived at Sun ’n Fun with a list of exciting announcements. The first is the availability of a new interactive video course on BasicMed and Pilot Medicals. It focuses on helping pilots understand the new rules, whether or not they qualify, and how to stay legal while flying under BasicMed. Even better, the course is free via the King Schools website.

In addition, there are several more courses joining the King Schools lineup. Their Drone Course, developed in partnership with AVUSI and successfully launched in January of this year, will be getting an update in May. King Schools has also partnered with 1Step Prep to addATP training to their already extensive course list. 1Step Prep brings six courses for the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

Finally, King Schools is getting ready to release a Cessna Training App for use at Cessna Pilot Centers. The app will allow flight instructors to rate and annotate maneuvers during a flight for later discussion, record flight times and eSign the virtual logbook. It also keeps track of a student's progress towards their certificate or rating. The app synchs with the school's servers and will be available for iPad and iPhone.
