Welcome to Plane & Pilot’s third Your Flying World photo contest. Our inaugural edition was a huge success, with close to a thousand entries, and last year’s was a big hit as well, with Michael Morse taking grand prize honors for his dramatic photo of an Air Tractor Fire Boss surrounded by terrain attacking a Southern California wildfire with a crimson burst of flame retardant.

One thing that all pilots like to do is take photos of the world beyond their plane's wingtip, and so many share their stunning images on social media for #wingtipwednesdays.

Our inaugural Plane & Pilot Your Flying World Photo Contest was a huge success, with close to a thousand entries! More importantly the photographs that our talented followers submitted were nothing short of inspiring. Last year’s Grand Prize winner, Jon Hicks from Texas, took home top honors with his Fiery Sunrise Over Texas, a spectacular sky-filling display that reflected perfectly off the upper cowling of his plane.
