This replica of the Red Baron's famed fighter is not one of the easier-to-build homebuilts. The cost of materials, a good deal of skill in using hand tools and a torch, several years of spare time, and a lot of scrounging for props, wheels, and the like are necessary to end up with a show-stopper like the Fokker. The fuselage is built from steel tube and plywood, then fabric covered. The all-wood wings are fabric covered. The 145-hp Warner Radial is usually the recommended engine.
