  1. I doubt that the airplanes could actually fly with ‘diesel’ fuel. There is a high risk of it gelling in cold conditions whereas jet-A is formulated to remain liquid at extremely cold temps.

    Diesel fuel would have to be heated and recirculated to the tanks in order to make flying with it universally safe. Not likely on this class of plane I would think.

  2. Arctic grade Diesel Fuel remains liquid down to -44 degrees Celsius. In combination with a fuel preheating system for high altitude flying, Diesel fuel is completely viable for aviation use.

  3. Beautiful looking planes! And a very smart business move, to provide trainers that will make it easier for pilots to transition to the bigger M20 planes for personal purchase and use. Go Mooney!!!
