If there's ever a point at whichwe have too many aviation expos, we're certainly nowhere near it yet. In just a few weeks, there will be a new one to add to the list. The first US Flight Expo will be held Marana Regional Airport (KAVQ) May 3-6. Marana is just 30 miles north of Tucson International Airport.
Event founder Greg Hobbs is looking to create a Sebring-type trade show. Though not exclusive, the expo will focus on the light sport and experimental sectors. Vendors scheduled to attend include Aircraft Spruce, Tecnam, Stemme, Sensenich, and CubCrafters to name just a few.
The US Flight Expo has also put some thought into getting the younger crowd involved. Organizers have visited several high schools in the local area to encourage student participation. In addition, it is anticipated that Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of North Dakota will be in attendance.
