  • Activities: You can jump on a tour bus from any of the Vegas hotels out to the Hoover Dam. The Dam is one of America's crowning achievments. If you have extra time, rafting trips down the Colorado River are also a lot of fun!

  • Flying Tips: The airspace over/around Las Vegas is very busy. In addition to McCarran International Airport on the south edge of Las Vegas, there is Nellis Air Force Base on the northeast side. The GA airfield, North Las Vegas Airport, sits inside the city on the northern edge of the downtown/Vegas Strip area. The view of the Vegas Strip can be spectactular if flying the VFR arrival from the East. Make sure you have the Las Vegas TAC. ATC will ask you to fly one of the VFR arrivals on the back.
